Hats
On Day was held November 20, 2007 and was a great success!
Administration, Faculty, Staff and Students demonstrated their
support for children with cancer by either donating funds or
participating in the celebration by paying to wear a hat for
an entire day. Faculty
and Staff were asked to pay $3. So many teachers contributed
much more! Students were excited to participate as
well. They gave $1 to wear a hat or they simply gave
to show support and wore a Hats On Day sticker. The National
Honor Society was very excited about supporting this cause
and Eli Whitney did not let them down. So far, the National
Honor Society has collected over $200.
Dr.
Moran also provided a beautiful coach hat as an incentive to
be raffled off at the end of the day for all participants that
wore a hat. Jose Flores won the hat and took it home
to give to his mom. |
