The Student Council sponsored a canned food drive to help the less fortunate this holiday season. As part of the Career Development curriculum, students learn the benefits of community service. Students in the Career Development classes made posters to encourage students and staff to bring in canned goods. As donations were brought into school, the Career Development students collected, counted and boxed all of the canned goods. After all donations were sorted, it was determined that students and staff were able to collect over 400 pounds of food. All the canned goods were donated to FISH of Greater New Haven which delivers over 8000 bags of food to needy individuals and families each year.
