Harriet Linder has been selected as this year's Teacher of the Year for Wilcox Tech. Ms. Linder graduated from UConn with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting in 1969. She received her M.S. in Art from Southern Connecticut State University in 1975 and her Sixth Year Diploma in Educational Administration from Southern Connecticut in 1990.

She has been teaching since 1969, and has been teaching for the Connecticut Technical High School System since 1974 working at Platt Tech and Kaynor Tech before coming to Wilcox Tech in 1992 as Related Department Head where she has remained since.

Ms. Linder has been active in the Connecticut Art Education Association. She has served on the CTHSS Art Steering Committee for many years, as well as the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee and System Wide Support System Committee. She has also chaired NEASC areas in schools.

This Fall, she will be honored along with the Teachers of the Year from each of the Technical High Schools at the annual Celebration of Excellence Dinner. Congratulations Ms. Linder!
