Skills USA VICA

Advisor: Ms. Williams

Skills USA is the national vocational student organization serving trade, industrial, technical, and health occupations. It provides students with leadership, citizenship and character development programs and activities. The Wilcox Team competes in the annual state and national competitions.

  1. Entertainment Books Fundraiser will take place 9/25 – 10/5.
  2. Homecoming Dance

  • Officers Induction Dinner will be held Thursday night, October 4th at 6 pm in the cafe
  • Statesmen Conference: Community Service & Luncheon at Mountainside
  • Student Tours for Guidance Department ~ 8 am – 11 am

November

  1. November 5th ~ re-send requests for Advertising for the Craft Fair
  2. November 14th ~ Open House Tours   5 pm – 8 pm. See Ms. Rogers ASAP to sign up.
  3. November 16th ~ College/Career Awareness Day Set-Up and Tours ~ 7 am – 12 pm.

  1. March 7th ~ Student Faculty Basketball Game (tentative)

  3. March 26th ~ Bowl A Thon at Colony Lanes 9 am – 2 pm…$15
  4. March 28th ~ State Competition ALL DAY, then SCSU 6 pm – 10 pm

  • April 30th~ House of Delegates at Vinal Tech 8 am-2 pm…Current officers plus  students who wish to become officers will attend
