On
October 3, 2008 the Health Tech Class of 2010 participated in
their Certified Nursing Assisting training orientation at the
Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden. Wilcox has partnered up
with the home for the past 7 years and has proven to be a very
successful learning program for the students. The Health Tech
students also do clinical work at the Bradley Home and Pavilion
also in Meriden. Health Technology requires students to receive
75 clinical hours or more doing patient care on residence in
both facilities. Students can then qualify to take the State
certification exam for a CNA position at the end of their junior
year. The Bradley Home also donates two large awards to the best
nursing students each year. Nice work! |
