All of the Hospitality
Class of 2009 students passed the ServSafe Food Protection
Manager Certification exam.
This certification is required in all food establishments across
the state. There must be at minimum of two certified people
on staff and certifications are displayed in order to operate
a food establishment. The exam covers topics such as cross-contamination,
safe food handling, sanitation and food preparation. It is
a written examination and students study and prepare during
shop time. One of the seniors received his certification earlier
this year because he wanted to be a manager of a local food
restaurant. In order to be a manager one needs this certification.
Congratulations to all the students! |
