100 Years of Women Scholarship

Eligibility:             · Must show commitment to women’s issues through service to school or community

                                    · High school senior planning to enroll at the University of Connecticut

                                    · Demonstrate high academic performance and be in need of financial assistance

Capitol Scholarship Grant Program

Eligibility:             · Be a high school senior and legal resident of Connecticut

                                    · Must have completed FAFSA by February 15, 2010 and have received a valid EFC

                                    · Rank in the top 20% of the class OR have a combined score of 1800 on the SAT

Eligibility:             · Must be a senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or university

National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship Award Program

Eligibility:             · Male or female entering into college to study a construction-related field (ex. construction management, architecture, civil/mechanical/structural/electrical

 engineering

· Must plan to study full-time; part-time students are not eligible

· Must reside in Connecticut or attend/plan to attend a Connecticut college/university

· No person who is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction or

who is in a NAWIC member’s immediate family is eligible

Eligibility:             · Must be a U.S. citizen or in process of gaining citizenship and legal resident of CT

Eligibility:             · High School senior who is legal resident of the U.S.

Ted Martocchio Scholarship: CT State Building and Trades Union

Eligibility:         ·Resident of CT

· Child of a member of the CT State Building and Trades Union

· Student must be accepted for full-time admission at any of the four CSU System

  Universities (Central, Eastern, Southern, Western Connecticut State University)

· Student must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and have financial need

· Examples of leadership and volunteer commitment encouraged but not required

Professional Women in Construction Scholarship

Eligibility:             · Male or female student entering into a two-year or four-year college

· Plan to study construction management, architecture, civil, mechanical, structural or   electrical engineering

The Associated General Contractors of Connecticut Scholarship Award

Eligibility:             · Senior who plans to enroll in 4-year building technology or civil engineering program or  2-year technical school with a construction course of study, with the intent of entering a four-year college upon completion of the technical school
