The First Annual Silent Auction Dinner took place at Windham Tech on Friday, May 18th. Over a hundred people from the community attended the event including Dr. Abigail Hughes, Superintendent of the Connecticut Technical High Schools and Assistant Superintendent Judy Thompson. All proceeds went towards scholarships for students at Windham Tech and other area schools. Guests were treated to a fabulous three-course dinner prepared and served by the students and staff of the Windham Tech Culinary Arts Department. The event was coordinated by the Linda R. Martin Foundation, a non-profit organization that tries to help people in need. The Foundation was set up in memory of Linda R. Martin. Kevin Martin, Executive Director of the Foundation, is a graduate of Windham Tech.
