Dental Assistants have a very busy day that may involve any of the following  tasks: prepare the patient; take and develop x-rays; take impressions of the teeth; teach tooth brushing and  flossing; assist the dentist in patient care; sterilize instruments;  maintain and disinfect dental equipment; and possible office duties such as handling phone calls, billing, collections, and purchasing supplies.
