Altek
Electronics of Torrington employs four Electronics Tech
students and is looking to add more. The four students are
instructed by Al Valetta, the Electronics Technology Department
Head. Rich Razza, the President of Altek, is a Tech school
graduate. Rich also serves on the Trade and Technology Advisory
Committee, attends trade fairs at the school, and has employed
Wolcott Tech kids for several years.
Patti
Hunter who supervises the Wolcott Tech students working
at Altek says, "I highly recommend the (WBL) program
to potential employers. We have had many Wolcott Tech
students work here and the school is very good at providing
for our needs here at Altek. The kids are very enthusiastic
and have helped us out on many, many jobs.
