Cross Country Boys wins City Championship
Wow! Win
upon Win!
The Torrington City Championships/Kaynor meet turned out to
be an eye opener. Coming out of the first loop, Oliver
Wolcott was 1-2-3. Torrington took the challenge and a
Wildcat fight began. At the finish line Wolcott Tech won
over both challengers.
The Wildcats won the Championship for the first time in more
than a dozen years. It is their first victory ever in cross
country over Kaynor Tech.
Captain Tyler Fredsall finished second overall, taking almost
a full minute off the school's course record. Captain Chris
Flowers was third overall. Aaron Montgomery was fifth,
Captain Andrew Kanehl was sixth and Barrett Donna grabbed thirteenth
with Adam Lagassie fifteenth overall.
The eye of the Tiger was roaring.
