Dear parents/guardians of Seniors and Juniors:
We
are inviting you to participate in Oliver Wolcott’s Financial
Aid Workshop for members of our Senior and Junior Class on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 at
Oliver Wolcott Cafeteria in Torrington, CT. Once again, the
Oliver Wolcott Guidance Department and Northwestern Connecticut Community
College will sponsor this workshop. Our presenter, Mr. Lou Bristol,
Director of Financial Aid at Northwestern Connecticut Community College
will walk us through the Financial Aid process. Whether you are planning
to go to a two-year community college or four year university we
will guide your children and parents through the financial aid process.
Questions from all attendees are encouraged. If you have special
circumstances, Mr. Bristol will be available to talk individually
with families who have experienced severe changes in their ability
to find college still affordable.
With
the continued rise in college costs and the strained economy, financial
assistance continues to be very important to students and their families. Financial aid plays a very influential and often pivotal role in a students’ choice
of college. This workshop is a must for college bound students.
