Several Wolcott Tech Senior students attended the third annual Women of the World Forum held in Torrington on Friday, September 28th. The event is designed by women with the dreams and aspirations of women in mind. High school students from all over Northwest Connecticut attended to hear motivational speakers, attend educational seminars and network with women who are leaders in their communities.

Guest speakers and panelists included the Honorable Anne. C. Dranginis, Retired Connecticut Appellate Court Judge and partner at Rome McGuigan law firm, Susan Bysiewicz, Secretary of the State of Connecticut, Laura Grondin, President and CEO of Virginia Industries, Lucille Janatka, President and CEO of Midstate Medical Center, Julia McNamara, President of Albertus Magnus College, and Peyton Patterson, President and CEO of New Alliance Bank.

Youth Keynote Speaker was Maria Conlin, UCONN Graduate who was part of the three consecutive NCAA Women's Championship teams. Keynote Speaker was Jennifer Lauck, international best-selling author of three memoirs, which includes Still Waters, Show Me the Way and New York Times bestseller, Blackbird.
