SO
YOU SAY YOU WANT A SCHOLARSHIP? OKAY THEN YOU MUST FOLLOW THE PROCEEDURES
BELOW
- Get a “C” or better for your final grade
in 16 core courses (see your coach for a NCAA Clearinghouse
form).
- Enroll with the NCAA CLEARINGHOUSE in the
summer of your senior year.
- Take the SAT’s at least once, junior year and
have them sent to the NCAA Clearinghouse.
- Make a tape of your basic skills and several
games, no highlight films, for
your sport (have your coach help you).
- Go to college showcases to get exposure before
college coaches.
- Have your final transcripts sent to the NCAA Clearinghouse
in July after your graduation.
**Most importantly, have your guidance counselor help you through
the process. College coaches are very busy and in most cases do not have
the time to come and see you. You must sell yourself to them and convince
them why you will be a good investment for their school.
