The SAA  is the student activity governing body. It is comprised of representatives from each class. Students on the SAA speak for the entire student body. They meet once a month for the purpose of conducting regular business and other matters which may be brought before it for consideration. The Student Council must approve each Student Activity Program. All requests for fund-raising, student activities, and purchases made from student activity funds must be approved by the Student Council. The Student Council also has two members who attend the COC Student Senate meetings and Student Congress from the Connecticut Technical High Schools. These students keep the school in touch with area schools with similar extracurricular and interscholastic programs.

Meeting of November 6th, 2007

The meeting was in full attendance with 15 representatives from all the grades, the two advisors, the web coordinator and Principal Abramowitz. The status of upcoming fundraisers"Dog and Cat Treat Sale, Afternoon Movie, and Turkey Shoutout were verified with dates adjusted.

New Business

Potential fund raisers on the agenda were Principal for a Day, Talent Show, and the Card Decal initiative, (marketing to "support Wright Tech"). Details regarding the Principal for a Day were detailed and documented by the group in writing.

The SAA President and Vice President then communicated student body questions and suggestions directly to Principal Abramowitz. Mr. Abramowitz answered these questions with knowledge and honesty. He also took the opportunity to review the workings of government and related it to the student's questions.

Principal Abramowitz recognized the SAA for their strong work as an organization during this first semester.
