PROGRAM

Instructor - George Stratigakis, Donna Risolo

The Language Arts program seeks primarily to meet the immediate, common, and individual needs of students. It emphasizes instruction in vocabulary, comprehension, study skills, reading flexibility, listening, critical thinking, and oral and written expression. Team teaching is utilized to provide support and technical assistance in the shop and content areas. The school-wide Language Arts program focuses on students learning to read and listen critically and to accept responsibility for correctness in their own communication.
