Electric Car Video
Transcript

Dan: Hi, I'm Dan. This is the electric car that we built here at Bristol TEC. All of the shops were involved in building this car. What the Electronics shop did is we took the throttle and we wired it to the motor control and then ran all of the wires from the motor control to the motor to run the car.

Matt: Hi, my name is Matt Askler. I represent the Welding class. We cut and bent all of the tubing. We welded the frame together underneath and we also welded all of the front end parts all together.

Matt: Hi, I'm Matt and I am from the Automotive department. The Automotive department did alot of the brake assembly. Mainly the allignment we did. We also did the cotter pins that you see right here going through the lug nuts. We also did some of the brakes and we adjusted them so the care could brake properly during the race.

Nick: Hi, I'm Nick Ross from the HVAC department. We made temporary panels of the body. Then we built these panels and screwed them all to the frame using tech screws. And we put a vent in the rear of the car to add a touch of HVAC on it.

James: Hi, I'm James. I am from Machine Tool. We helped assemble and machine all of the front ends and the steering wheel and for the tires.

Brandon. Hi, I'm Brandon. I was on the pit crew for the electric car. We raced the electric car at Lime Rock. We won first place in the spring and first place in the fall. We also won first place Best in Show.

Sam: Hi, I'm Sam. I drove the Electrathon car in the fall. We was a lot of fun. We came first in our division and now we're going to take it for a test drive.
