I am Patrick Howell at Bristol Technical Education
Center. This is a Lincoln Pulse on Pulse MIG. It uses pulsations of current
to get an aluminum weld done. It’s used in production from everything
like ship building to construction and everything.
This is a Python MIG gun.
It’s got wire drive inside
the gun to pull the aluminum through. It makes it so you don’t have crimped
wire and everything. It solves the problem of damaged liners. This is an aluminum
job, it’s for production. This welder is what we are going to use to
get the job done. When we are finished, it’s going to be used to hold
up marble slabs so it’s got to be strong. This is fastest way to get
the strong weld that we need.
I could do a demonstration piece here. I am currently
trying to get this machine adjusted and fine tuned in before I do my final
welds on the piece. So I’ll put a bead done. |
