The boys had 10 athletes qualify and the girls 8 athletes.

2009 CIAC State Conference: BHT had 2 freshmen boys qualify to compete in 2 events.

As a coach, I’m very proud of the accomplishments reached by this very young team of males and females this season.

The boys’ team reached the CSC Championship and the CIAC States Conference. We qualified for events such as the hurdles, which have not been run at BHT for many years and had multiple teams in all 3 relays. The field event were represented as well.

The girls’ team reached the CSC Championship and had also qualifiers in events such as discus and 2 relays.

All together both boys and girls worked as a team and pushed themselves to reach a high level of competition in a very short time and against many adversities. The foundation has been set this year and the process will be on going. We plan to expand and perfect personal times as well as set new and more records in new events.
