sponsoring Web site.  Day Month Year (date you are accessing

Web site with an article

Author’s last name, first name.  “Article title”.  Day Month Year. (of electronic

publication) Name of organization sponsoring Web site.  Day

Month Year you accessed information <URL address>.


Database article

Author’s last name, first name.  “Title of article.”  Publication volume

number. Month year. Title of Electronic Journal or database.

Electronic sources will provide different information. Usually information is listed on top or bottom of page. If information is missing, omit.

 

Creating the Works Cited page

  • Arrange your source note cards alphabetically by the first letter in each entry (excluding the articles a, an, and the).
  • Double space between lines and entries.
  • Indent the second and following lines of each entry one tab (or one half inch).
