Taking
Out Books
Every
student's name has been entered into the circulation database,
therefore you do not need a library card to take out books.
You may take out up to two books at a time for a two week
period.
There are no overdue fines, but after two weeks you will begin
to receive overdue notices. For this reason, please
try to return your books on time. Books may be renewed
even if you don't have the book with you.
Overdue notices are sent to your shop instructor for distribution.
In the event a book is damaged or lost it must be paid for
in the Business office. The same school policies that
apply to textbooks also apply to books from the Media Center.
Important
Information About Public Libraries
If
you do not find the book you are looking for here, please
check your local public library. You will need to have
a current public library card to take out books -- this card
allows you to take out books from any public library in Connecticut,
and return them to your local library.
Another advantage of having a current library card is that
it will give you access to the Connecticut
Digital Library
from home. Once you are at the website, click on "Access
Databases from Home" and enter the bar code numbers from
your library card. You will be given access to a number
of databases on a variety of subjects.
