Aero Tech Alumnnus Named Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year

On March 19, 2009 Mr. Steven Stodolski Director of Maintenance for Hubbell Corp. (H.H. Ellis Class of 1975) was named Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year for the Eastern Region by the Federal Aviation Administration. This coveted award recognizes individuals who show an extraordinary dedication to flight safety and involvement in the aviation community. The nominees are selected based on the recommendations of their peers. Steve has worked tirelessly to provide assistance and opportunities to students attending both the H.H. Ellis (now Ct. Aero Tech) and the Stratford School for Aviation Maintenance Technicians since graduating in 1975. He serves on the TTAC committees of both schools and has raised thousands of dollars for the Hartford/Springfield Chapter of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association scholarship fund. The Chapter awards at least two tuition scholarships annually to deserving students of the two programs. We congratulate Steve and appreciate his long time involvement with the system's aviation programs.
