On
Wednesday, April 8, 2009, the Connecticut Association of Schools'
(CAS) Annual Connecticut High School Outstanding Arts Awards
Banquet took place at the the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, Connecticut.
The CAS Arts Awards honor two outstanding seniors from each Connecticut
member schools who excel in the performing or visual arts. These
seniors possess the qualities of scholarship and leadership. Excelling
in the performing or visual arts is the primary importance in the
selection.
Congratulations
to the seniors from the Connecticut Technical High School System
who were honored. Among the more than 200 students receiving
awards were: Samantha Drenckhahn and Luke Dalhlgren (Abbott Tech),
Jose Serrano and Daniel Cornish, (Grasso Tech) Giselle Ayala
and Luis Cortes (Whitney Tech), Sean Dormody
and Amanda Pendarvis (Goodwin Tech) and Brittany
Burke and Terin Nieto (Windham Tech).
