It was a beautiful night for baseball and a great night to celebrate the outstanding services of the Connecticut Technical High School System's (CTHSS) teachers and achievements of its students. The 1st Annual Connecticut Technical High School System Family Night took place at the New Britain Rock Cats game at New Britian Stadium on Thursday, May 29th. The New Britain Rock Cats announced the CTHSS Teachers of the Year and Students of the Year in attendance on the field before the game began. CTHSS Superintendent Dr. Abigail Hughes and Donald J. Coolican, member of the State Board of Education and the Connecticut Technical High School Committee, were on hand to greet and thank all of the honored teachers and students. Coolican was also selected to throw out the first ball at the game. Members of the Kaynor Technical High School baseball team were also at the game to show their support.
