| The
Eli Whitney Tech Math Team won this year's Math League Competition
held at Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain, Connecticut
on Tuesday May 25, 2004. The Whitney Tech team led by advisors:
Mr. George Reichert, Ms. Tanya Dwellingham and Ms. Latrice James
came in second last year so they were sure they would do well
this year. Seven VT schools competed in this year's event. Goodwin
Tech Math instructor Mike Psutka who coordinates the Math League
Competition each year said he was thrilled to see how serious
the students took the competition. Ken Sherrick, math consultant
for the Connecticut Tech High Schools, said, "It's great
to see so many students competing and getting excited about math."
