Culinary
Arts students from Prince Technical High School of Hartford,
Connecticut recently had the opportunity to showcase some
of the food preparation skills they have developed over the
last four years. Five Senior students (Melinda DeJesus, John
Pendergast, James Bonilla, Taina Sanchez, and Mayra Montanez)
along with their instructor Chef Richard Collier were asked
to plan, create and present a luncheon for members of the Administrative
Council of the State Department of Education.
The menu included
a variety of salads, chicken, pork and beef dishes as well as
delicious desserts. The Connecticut Technical High Schools are
overseen by the Connecticut Department of Education so the luncheon
was an excellent opportunity for state administrators to get a
taste of the high quality education provided at the state tech
schools.
