Perez, a Senior in the Culinary Arts program at Prince Technical
High School in Hartford, Connecticut, took first place in the
"Top Chef" Competition held on Saturday, May 6th. The
event sponsored by the Connecticut Culinary Institutes brought
together students from several states around the country. Carlos'
prize winning entry was an Encrusted
Salmon entree with a Honey-Citrus Glaze, served over a Bed Of
Rice Pilaf, and a Medley of Lightly Sauteed Vegetables. He received
a $5,000 scholarship for winning the competition. Congratulations
Carlos!
