On March 9-11, three Connecticut
Technical High Schools participated in the 2006 United Technologies
New England Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at the Connecticut
Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Teams from Cheney Tech,
Goodwin Tech and Platt Tech competed in the annual event.
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition
of Science and Technology) is a sports-like national competition among
robots designed by high school students and professional engineers. This
year 40 teams from all over New England and New York competed. See
