The
10th annual Student of the Year Luncheon was held on Friday
May 23, 2007, at Platt Technical High School in Milford, Connecticut.
In attendance were several dignitaries including Assistant
Superintendents of the Connecticut Technical High School System,
Dr. Anne Druzolowski, Dr. Ceferino Lugo and Robert Lombardi as
well as State Board of Education Members, Dr. Alice L. Carolan
and Donald J. Coolican .
A
senior student from each school was selected as student of
the year based on his/her academic and technical achievements
during the school year along with his/her demonstrations of
leadership and community involvement. Students were introduced
by a member of the administration from their school and then
presented with a plaque and a commemorative pen.
The
meal was created and served by the students in Platt Tech's own
Culinary Arts program under the supervision of Chef Terry, Chef
Leto and Chef Fusco.
