James
Gallow, Carpentry Department Head
at Ellis
Technical High School of Danielson, has been named as
the Teacher of the Year for the Connecticut Technical High
School System (CTHSS).
Gallow has
been teaching at Ellis Tech for the past 8 years and has been
Department Head of the Carpentry Department for the past 4
years. He
actually graduated from Ellis Tech and has several years of
experience working as a carpenter. Gallow says that he has
always had great respect for the teaching profession and enjoys
being an educator. "I have always gotten great pleasure out
of helping people to realize their potential and watching the
"light" go on when they finally get a specific concept or series
of concepts."
Gallow will represent the Connecticut Technical High School
System in the annual Connecticut Teacher of the Year competition.
