Tile Company Donates over $100,000 of Materials to CT Tech
High Schools
The
Connecticut Technical High School System (CTHSS) received a donation
of over $100,000 worth of high quality tile materials from Creations
Factory Inc. of Hartford, Connecticut. Owner Luz Ferez said that
they made the donation to invest in the future training of skilled
tile installers. "There is a big demand for craftsmen in
this field and we hope the donation will help students in the
Tech schools learn more about the intricate work done in this
area."
CTHSS construction consultant Raymond Mencio said that he was
extremely grateful for the tremendous donation. "Tile installation
is an important part of the Masonry curriculum in our schools.
This donation will definitely enhance the type of projects our
students will be able to do in shop." The materials will
be divided among the three Masonry programs in the CTHSS: Bullard-Havens
Technical High School (Bridgeport), Ellis Technical High School
(Danielson) and Prince Technical High School in Hartford.
