Platt Tech Wins 2010 Ford/AAA Auto Skills Competition
The team from Platt Tech (Jordan
Boots and Conner McCreery) won this year’s state Ford/AAA Auto Skills Competition. The
event took place on May 14, 2010 at Maneeley’s in South
Windsor. Boots and McCreery along with their instructor Kirk
Stankiewicz will represent Connecticut in
the National competition in June in Michigan.

Instructors and Community Colleges Working Together to Provide Green Tech
Training
The Connecticut Technical High School
System (CTHSS) is working together with the
Connecticut Community Colleges to provide programs in Weatherization and
Building Analyst to instruct individuals designated by the five workforce
regions in Connecticut. The effort is just one of many to provide more
training in Green technologies across the state.

Did you ever wonder who your
school was named after? Some are easy. Most citizens of Connecticut
know that Ella Grasso was governor of Connecticut
and if you remember your American History you know that Oliver Wolcott was a
signer of the Declaration of Independence as well as Governor. But most of
our schools are named after individuals who made important contributions to Connecticut in many
ways but are not as well known.

100th Year Celebration – Friday October 29, 2010
SAVE THIS DATE! Connecticut Technical High
School System will be celebrating 100 years of educational excellence on
Friday, October 29th at the Aqua Turf in Southington. More information will be
available soon.
We would like your participation in our Centennial Celebration. Please send
