| This is
Governor Jodi Rell. Each school day our Technical High School Teachers
welcome 10,000 students to their classrooms to teach academics and
skills they will need for a successful life. Students not only a
high school diploma but also important job skills in a number of
technical fields. Things like construction, manufacturing, pre-engineering,
computing, automotive, health and medical and the hospitality and
tourism professions. These jobs are the backbone of Connecticut's
economy. Our 17 Technical High Schools are undergoing many positive
changes with new curriculum, equipment, and state-of-the-art facilities.
Our teachers are working hard everyday to make sure our students
are ready for the challenges of tomorrow and our partners from business
are working with us too to connect our programs with the needs of
the economy. To our teachers and students, your success means a
great deal to the state of Connecticut. We thank our educators for
all that you do and for all the great things your students will
accomplish. |
