The Juniors and Seniors in Advanced Art worked on a project called “Elements of a Movement”.
They started by reviewing art movements and the history of the
artists during each era. For example: The Impressionists Love Light.
Realism was crucial to the artists of the Baroque era. The Cubists
expressed their ideas in geometric shapes. Reality was totally
rejected during the Abstract Movement.
The art movement students
chose to study were: the Renaissance, Impressionism, Expressionism,
Bauhaus, Non-figurative, and Pop Art. We combined a famous artists
first or last initial of their name with images of their artistic
style. The first initial should be done very large so that within
the letter you can include at least three versions of that artists
own paintings or drawings.
