In January, Carpentry students received training on a new addition to their shop - the Weinig Unimat 300 . The Weinig Unimat 300 is a state-of-the-art molding machine that will be used for a variety of high precision woodworking projects in shop. Carpentry Department Robert Hughes says, "We have already used the machine to make crown molding for a customer bookcase. We also have profiles for colonial casing and fluted stock. The practice pieces will be used for window trim training."
