In a closely contested match Grasso Tech of Groton defeated the regular season conference champions, Vinal Tech of Middletown, by a single point-906 to 905. This was the closest margin of victory in the tournament’s history.

Wilcox Tech of Meriden was third, Ellis Tech of Danielson was fourth and Abbot Tech of Danbury was fifth.

Grasso’s winning team consisted of Nick Sautter, Travis Moody, Kat Mckee, Dan Harris, and Zach Smith. Sautter was recognized for having both the highest average for the season and placing tenth over all in the Connecticut High School Rifle League competition.

Vinal’s Matt Murray was the match's individual champion with a score of 191 out of 200. Murray fired a perfect score of 50 in both the prone and the sitting positions on his way to victory. Other competitors shooting perfect scores prone were Gunnar Steinle of Vinal, Peter L'Heureux of Wilcox Tech, Grasso’s Zack Smith, and Ellis Tech’s Christy LaRochelle.

Named to the All Conference Team were Nick Sautter, Tom Rafferty, Travis Moody, and Zack Smith of Grasso, Gunnor Steinle, Matt Murray, Richard Wall, Tom Tetrault, Jeremy Tetrault, Tyler Brancifort, and Justin Acri of Vinal, as well as Peter L'Heureux of Wilcox.
