| Students
and staff in the Electronics Technology program have built a broadcast
studio in the school located in a room adjacent to the Library Media
Center. The Eagle's Nest Broadcast Studio is used to tape school-based
news shows that are broadcast over the school's video network. According
to Electronics Tech Department Head Fred DePietro, this is just
the first phase in the development of the audio visual capabilities
at the school. They recently acquired a studio grade audio mixing
console, JBL speakers, and Shure wireless mikes. This equipment
will be used to handle the audio at such major events as awards
night and graduation. DePietro said that the Electronics Tech program
will be responsible for the management of all the equipment as well
as setup and take down.
DePietro
also is planning on setting up a video editing suite in shop. "I
would like my Electronics students to be able to produce video footage
for FOX61 students news as well as develop footage for our sporting
events and other school activities." Below are some photos
of the students at work in the Broadcast studio. |
