Jesse Herren, a Senior in the Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing program at Ellis Tech, started working at Marvel Auto Body in January. Based in Norwich, Connecticut , Marvel Auto Body has been providing general collision repair services for over 30 years. Jesse works a full day when he is in shop and he has already been involved in a wide range of projects including the complete overhaul of a wrecked vehicle.

"I really like working here," says Jesse "It's great to come to work and do something you really love and get paid for it." Jesse says that his training at Ellis Tech really prepared him for his work at Marvel Auto Body. "My teacher Mr. Congdon is really smart. I learned a lot from him."

Marvel Auto Body owner Mark Robbins says that he is thrilled to have Jesse working for him. "It gives me a whole new perspective on the younger generation. Jesse is an exceptional worker. He is very knowledgeable and very independent. I give him an assignment and he gets it done."

Jesse says that being in involved in the Cooperative Worksite Experience program has really made him sure that he wants to continue in Auto Body work after he graduates. "I definitely want to keep doing this for many years. There's nothing better."
