| The
students, faculty and staff at H.H. Ellis extend a warm welcome.
Our web site highlights H.H. Ellis' scope, history, accomplishments,
and programs. As the Putnam Trade School (1916), H.H. Ellis was
the first technical school in the state to have its own building.
We built a bigger, more modern facility in Danielson in 1959.
Our flagship trade,
Aviation Mechanics, is the oldest public program of its type in
the country. Aviation Mechanics has been taught to high school
graduates at H.H. Ellis since 1931! H.H.
Ellis is located in the northeast corner of Connecticut abutting
the Danielson Airport. Over five hundred high school students
and high school graduates attend the day school program.
Our thirteen trade
offerings focus on excellence, craftsmanship, work-readiness,
and skills for rapid advancement. Our academic offerings in partnership
with Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson and Three
Rivers Community College in Norwich offer high school juniors
and seniors the opportunity to receive college credit for select
high school courses. H.H. Ellis proudly boasts of a full complement
of student activities.
Explore our site
and visit our school. You will see for yourself that H.H. Ellis
is on the forefront of technology, education and excellence.
Sincerely
Brian K. Mignault, Sr., Ph.D.
