Dear Parents/Guardian,

We are pleased to be providing your 9th grade child with the opportunity to participate in the “Be Aware… Don’t Go There” program at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. The program is a four hour intensive depiction of the reality of drinking and driving. Please read the attached letter for a more in depth description.

The dates will be given on a first come first serve basis so please return your permission slip now! The dates of the trips are as follows:

Due to the emotional intensity of the program, it is recommended that your child eat a healthy breakfast prior to the trip. Students will get to and from school on the bus as usual, as the trip runs 7:45am until 1:30pm. Students should bring a bagged lunch to eat on the way back to school because we will miss the school lunch.
