The Kiss the
Pig results are in! Thank you so much to those of you that supported
the Ellis Tech Relay for Life team during our first team fundraiser
of the year! The Kiss the Pig event not only created a lot of
controversy, it raised $427.50!! Here is a break down of the results:
Palladino 69 votes
DeGray 85 votes
Mignault 145 votes
Daigle 232 votes
Staley 619 votes!
Mrs.
Murray and I also got roped into smooching the pig and raised
$140 more dollars! It was quite a day. The pictures say it all!
Our
next fundraiser will take place during the month of March and,
again, has everyone talking! Penny Wars is what its called and the
object, yes you guessed it, is to see who can get the most pennies! Each
of the four classes (freshmen, sophomore, junior, and seniors) all
have a jug in Room 121. A fun twist was thought of by Britny Trevino
to have a fifth jug for staff, so we're in!
The rules are
that the class with the most pennies wins! Sounds easy, right?
The twist is that anything other than a penny means a deduction.
For instance, if a staff member were to put a $1 bill into the junior's
jug, they lose 100 pennies! The bottoms of the jugs are
covered in hopes that no one can see very well who is in the lead
and who has deductions.
The prize for the winning class will be an
afternoon movie in the gym. Obviously if the staff win, the students get
nothing and we get to have an ice cream social! We hope that each
of you can dig deep into those change jugs of yours and again help
support our wonderful cause!

Greenhalgh
Registration forms and $10 fees are still being accepted if you have not yet joined the team! Stop by Room 121 and pick up what you need from Ms. Greenhalgh to join today!
