ELLIS TECH PFO's RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM DOUBLES ITS GOAL IN 2007

Ellis Tech started it first annual Relay for Life team in 2007 and recruited an amazing 101 members! We set a team goal of $5000.00 and each member set out to raise as much as they could. Due to the dedication and perseverance of everyone, we not only reached our goal but we DOUBLED it! The team raised over $10,000.00!

The event was held at the Woodstock Fairgrounds May 19th and 20th. Everyone on the team made an appearance at the event in support of the three women our team was dedicated to: Linda Edmonds, Annice Rockwell, and Carole Myers, who are all battling cancer.

Headbands designed by Linda Edmonds were worn by each and every team member during the entire event as they showed their commitment to finding a cure. Another exciting aspect was when Marybeth Murdock represented Ellis Tech in the annual Relay Idol competition and won! Great job Marybeth! The Relay for Life was a tremendous success and will become an annual community event for the school!

The last picture is our Silver Team sign, saying that we raised at least $5000! That was our goal so we accomplished it and a ton more! I found out yesterday that we are actually $267.83 away from $10,000! So far today I have raised $70 towards that so we can get a gold team sign for next year! I am absolutely floored that we DOUBLED our goal! We are second to a team that has raised $10,142.00.
