Senior
Computer Aided Drafting and Design student Adrian
Zygo is getting real world experience even before
he graduates. He has been working at the ChristAmericas
company since last October. Located in New Britain,
Connecticut, ChristAmericas is a leader in the design
and development of water filtration systems. With
customers all over the globe, their clients include
many major pharmaceutical firms in North America.
According to Lead Designer Ken Persico this is the
first time they have hired a Goodwin Tech student
to work for them. He says that he has been impressed
by Adrian's work ethic and ability to work on any
assignment with minimal supervision. "Adrian
has done excellent work for us. He is a fast learner
and gets the job done," said Persico.
Adrian works a half day during his shop cycle at
Goodwin Tech and also works after school when he
is in academic classes. He says that his training
at Goodwin Tech has helped him immensely in preparing
for the real world of work. " Mr. Granja, my
instructor at Goodwin Tech, taught me what I needed
to do the kind of work I am doing here at ChristAmericas",
said Adrian.
"I
really enjoy working here. The people are very helpful
and friendly. I have learned a lot," says Adrian
on his experience so far at ChristAmericas. He plans
on pursuing a career in the field of Computer Aided
Drafting and Design when he graduates Goodwin Tech
in June. |
