The
Connecticut State Department of Labor’s Career
Express mobile career center will visit the Hospitality
Management students at Grasso Southeastern Technical High
School on Wednesday, April 30th from 9 am to 2 pm in Groton,
CT. The Career Express will assist the Grasso
Tech Hospitality Management students with the career skills
needed to obtain a job or career such as cover letter and
resume writing as well as the art of interviewing.
The 10th and 11th grade students in
Hospitality Management have been learning how to properly
write resumes, cover letters and the art of interviewing
for the past month. The Career Express will
also provide Hospitality Management students at Grasso Tech
with an opportunity to learn about the range of job opportunities
in the hospitality field as well as the possibility of obtaining
higher paying jobs/positions for students who are currently
employed.
The Career Express
is a mobile career center developed by the Connecticut Department
of Labor to provide the latest workforce and job skills development
services to job seekers, workers, veterans, students and employers.
The Career Express is equipped with eight computer workstations
with high-speed Internet access and the latest audio-visual
systems including a plasma TV with SMART Board technology. |
