On June 7th to June 8th, 2008, Kaynor Tech students came together to participate in the Greater Waterbury Relay For Life.  This 24 hour event raises money for the American Cancer Society, which puts that money directly towards cancer research and support in the local community. 

Team Kaynor Kares raised $4,500!!  This was excellent for a first year team and we were rewarded – we won a trophy for being the Greater Waterbury Relay For Life Rookie Team of the Year 2008!!

Mrs. Horbal, Captain, and Mr. Howard, Co-Captain, would like to thank all the students who participated for making the event extremely fun and successful.  They would also like to thank Mrs. Balnis, Ms. DeCesare, Mr. DiStasio, Ms. Galasso, Mr. Mansolf, Mr. Parillo, Mr. Horbal, Mrs. Pennell, and Mr. Rinaldi for chaperoning the event.  Anyone we may have forgotten to mention…sorry!!!
