National Honor Society 2008 Award Recipient

Family Services of Greater Waterbury recently held it's annual Recognition Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury.  Recognized at this year's awards ceremony was the Kaynor Tech chapter of the National Honor Society. 10 years ago, Kaynor's NHS "adopted" the children who attend the Therapeutic Child Center run by Family Services in downtown Waterbury.  For the past 10 years, we have taken the time to visit the children around the 4 main holidays - Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, and Easter - to bring gifts, cheer, and companionship to these 3-6 year olds.  Each time we visit, they bring us as much joy as we do them.  For our efforts, the Board of Family Services has honored us with their inaugural "Youth Achievement Award" for 2008. Thank you Family Services for allowing us to be a part of your important work for children and families in the Waterbury area.
