Tech Students and Staff Donate Food
Norwich Tech and the student council sponsored a food drive to benefit
the Gemma E. Moran
United Way/Labor Food Center. The drive lasted two weeks, concluding on January 30, 2008. Students competed against each other at the shop level and with other tech schools in the area.
The drive was a great success with all four tech schools donating over 15,000 lbs of food. Norwich tech was able to donate over 3000 lbs, with one shop, Automotive winning the school level contest with over 1000 lbs.
Thanks to all who contributed, especially the retail shop that collected and counted all the food. The food bank was in desperate need of this food. |
