The question is always asked on where students go and what they transition to upon graduation from Norwich Tech. Here are some confirmed answers from the Class of 2008.

  

Automotive:

  • Matt Laroux – Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida for Motorcycle Mechanic program 
  • Phil Salva – Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, Massachusetts for Automotive Technology program.  Phil is also the recipient of a $1000 Imagine America scholarship 
  • Adam Sawyer – Baran Institute of Technology in East Windsor, CT for Autobody Custom Plus program 
  • Mason Smith - Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, Massachusetts for Automotive Technology program.  Mason is also the recipient of a $1000 Imagine America scholarship and a $1000 Comcast Leaders and Achievers scholarship

Carpentry:

  • Chris Kapilotis - Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, Massachusetts for Automotive Technology program
  • Bobby Maerkle – employed at Rogers Kitchens in Norwich, CT with a focus on cabinetry
  • Joe Sindelar – Johnson and Wales University for Business Administration  

Computer Aided Drafting and Design:

  • Joe Bissonnette – employed as a CAD operator/designer at NFS -Radiation Protection Systems Inc. in Groton, CT 
  • Jeff Freitas – full-time Employment at Electric Boat in a CAD position upon graduation 
  • Dominic Grillo - full-time Employment at Electric Boat in a CAD position upon graduation 
  • Saravuth Kim - employed as a CAD operator/designer at NFS -Radiation Protection Systems Inc. in Groton, CT 
  • Mike Molinari – employed as an Information Technology Technician at Gunther International in Norwich, CT 
  • Dylan Sanborn - full-time Employment at Electric Boat in a CAD position upon graduation   

Electrical: 

  • Dylan Lavallee – Dominion Scholarship recipient for Electrical Engineering at Three Rivers Community College
  • Tim Ryan – Electrical apprentice at Bonner Electric in Uncasville   

Electronics and Electrical Engineering: 

  • Chris Foxx-Diaz - Dominion Scholarship recipient for Electrical Engineering at Three Rivers Community College 
  • Brittni Grimes – Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida for Marine Biology

Graphic Communications: 

  • Matt Boast – Employed at CopyCat Press in New London
  • Brandi Holman – Business Administration Certificate Program at Three Rivers Community College 
  • Jesse Eads – accepted into Project TLC for Computer Science associates degree program at Three Rivers Community College.  Will attend Project TLC’s paid summer institute technology program beginning in August 
  • Ben Stratton –Full-time employment at Minute Man Press in Norwich, CT 
  • Jordan Tobey – employed as a Table Games Dealer at Mohegan Sun
  • Scott Zawacki - Baran Institute of Technology in East Windsor, CT for Autobody Custom Plus program

Hairdressing, Barbering and Cosmetology:

  • Jessica Gernhard – Licensed Cosmetologist, employed at Lynn’s Hair Salon
  • Brittany Miller – Licensed Cosmetologist, employed at Hair Cuttery of Montville 
  • Jamie Mitchell – Licensed Cosmetologist 
  • Megan St. Jean – Licensed Cosmetologist 
  • Monica Velez - Licensed Cosmetologist, employed at Hair Cuttery of Montville  

Health Technology:

  • Sasha Alba – pursuing a Human Resource Case Management certificate program at Three Rivers Community College
  • Sharmane Kenneth - will be attending Post Graduate program for Dental Assistant at Windham Tech.
  • Mandy Mather – will be attending Post Graduate program for Dental Assistant at Windham Tech.
  • Jen Sena – University of Massachusetts Boston for Nursing Program 
  • Jessica Ventura – employed as a CNA at Beechwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New London, CT

HVAC/R: 

  • Bill Maruzo – accepted into Project TLC for Civil Engineering associates degree program at Three Rivers Community College.  Will attend Project TLC’s paid summer institute technology program beginning in August 

Plumbing: 

  • Jonathan Graves – United States Marine Corp 
  • Ryan Robtoy – will be attending Keene State College in New Hampshire to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Business Management
