N.T. Booster Club/PFO
December 4, 2006, Norwich Tech Library at 5:30
President- Nick Spera, absent; Vice President- Tim Krodel, present;
Treasurer- Dana Winn, absent; Secretary- vacant- K.Passmore took
minutes
ELECTION OF OFFICER: Given by V.P. Krodel
Secretary position vote was taken and a unanimous decision was given
to Kim Passmore for the secretary position for the PFO club. Motion
was made by V.P.T.Krodel and second by Dr. Menounous
QUORUM;
T. Krodel; W.J.White; N.Menounous; P.Hans; K.Passmore
FINANCIAL REPORT: Given by V.P. T.Krodel
PFO wrote a check for concession stand supplies for the amount of
$309.19 .
Current balance is unknown, treasurer D.Winn is absent.
Checks will be written out between Dec.4,2006 and Jan. 8,2007 meetings
for the following: Student of the Month breakfast; Student of the
Month winner; Papa Gino’s Pizza for the concession stand
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: given by V.P. Krodel
a. Golf tournament - on hold , waiting for response from tribe
b. SNET/AT&T fundraiser - needs update
c. Sweatshirt fundraiser - We were given an estimate on sweatshirts
from N.Spera through Clinton Sport Shop. Many unanswered questions
and not enough members in attendance to make decisions on designs;
We did go over prices and would like to get other estimates: T’s
Plus in Groton etc.
d. The PFO will send out flyer about the sweatshirt fundraiser and
an order form. Cost to mail flyers est. at $162.63.
e. PFO concession stand, prices on supplies were finalized on the
gatorade at $2.00 and the airheads at .50 cents. K.Passmore will
write up a price list for the table and Bill White has offered to
make up a more professional poster , just needs a design
f. Sigh up sheet for working the concession stand- need a list of
names and phone numbers of players. Possible student community service
time, would like to have Dr. Menounous and other staff pick these
students out for us..
g. Booster Club/PFO bylaws need to be adopted. Need to have Bylaw
ideas by Jan. 8, 2007 at the next PFO meeting. The Executive council
will meet to discuss the bylaws and will present them at a later
date.
NEW BUSINESS:
a. Found web site - WWW.highschoolfundraisers.com ; look at for
new ideas
b. P.Hans from the dance group came to the PFO for ideas for a fundraiser
for new uniforms . She estimates her group will need $2500.00 for
uniforms. Her group is willing to help raise the funds.
c. Discuss Student of the month
d. Discuss the possibility of doing an All Sports Fundraiser- monies
will be used for uniforms and supplies . Athlete’s must help.
PRINCIPALS REPORT: Given by Dr.Menounous
a. New building still on schedule , working with the contractors
on designs.
b. Electives - new elective ideas need to be handed in to Central
Office by Dec.8, 2006
1. Example, Math idea is to have an accounting class
c. Retail Program is doing very well and is restocking
d. National Honor Society- Held a dinner for over 100 people and
20 Alumni attended . There was 20 new National Honor Society members
inducted , Great Job!!
JOB OPENING: Given by Dr.Menounous
Electronics Department- Is looking for a teacher. If you know of
