Left to Right:Aerial Lift Company Mentor: Frank DiBlase Student:Francis Krol 12th grade Manufacturing  Senior Francis Krol is experiencing the height of success at Aerial Lift Inc.of Milford, CT.  The company made a decision to utilize Emmett O'Brien's Work Based Learning Program (WBL) and asked Program Coordinator Suzanne Ucci to send them EOB's best.

Company Supervisor Frank DiBlase commented, "Francis Krol is doing an excellent job.  His skills are very good.  He is dependable and shows up on time--at 6:00 a.m."  A miniature snapshot of Francis's daily routine includes turning down a shaft on a lathe machine and drilling holes on the drill press.

Francis Krol is a resident of Seymour, CT who enjoys the idea of going to work while attending school.  "It breaks up the everyday routine and you get paid money.  I am learning a lot about all the tools needed to be a good machinist.  I am happy at Aerial Lift because all the people there are very helpful, patient and constantly teaching me new things and quicker and better ways of doing things I already know."

The Aerial Lift motto is "We Will Not Let You Down."  The company staff has extensive experience and has designed, researched, and engineered aerial devices since 1958.

Aerial Lift began in a single bay garage, a pickup truck and one man's insistence to provide only top of the line service in the tree care industry.  Today the company manufactures and services their own brand of bucket truck, the Aerial Lift of Connecticut.

Through the WBL program, Francis Krol is learning about Aerial Lift.  "The WBL program is fun.  It teaches the fundamentals and provides actual job training and workplace readiness skills," adds Francis.

Aerial Lift is a member of the Emmett O'Brien Trade and Technology Advisory Committee (TTAC) and recently participated in the annual TTAC dinner meeting.  The company relentlessly pursues giving their customers the best service and maximized operating economies.

Francis Krol's "Height of Success" is working at Aerial Lift and experiencing the professional workplace environment.  The industry's successful services reflect the progress of modern technology.

In the past this group has hired several Emmett O'Brien students in both Manufacturing Technology and Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD). Francis Krol thinks the company is special because they have worked with Emmett O'Brien Technical High School's WBL program and have consistently shown their support for technical education while giving the best warranty in the business and quality customer service.
